Welcome to Africa. Your hosts Alison and Sidney’s journey of love began in Africa, where they both found a profound connection to the land and its culinary heritage. Sidney, born and raised in Africa, and Alison, captivated by its diversity and flavours, embarked on a shared adventure of exploration and appreciation. Drawing upon their years of living and working across the continent, they eventually brought their passion to fruition with Le Calabash France and Le Calabash Cape Town. Through their culinary tour, they aim to share the warmth and flavours of Africa with others, creating a personal and welcoming atmosphere for all who join them on this gastronomic, Cultural and wild life adventure.

  • Upon arrival at Cape Town International Airport, Alison and Sidney will personally greet you and will escort you to Zevenwacht Wine Estate, where you'll be welcomed with a glass of Zevenwacht’s award winning wine overlooking the stunning Cape peninsula.

Led by a knowledgeable guide, these guided bushwalks offer a unique insight into the wonders of the African bushveld. Traverse trails and animal paths through the open savannah, past watering holes, and dams, immersing yourself in the natural beauty of the reserve.

  • After our visit to Chimp Eden, we'll stop at a local restaurant for a leisurely lunch, immersing ourselves in the flavours of the region before returning to the lodge for a relaxing afternoon.
